Get Physical like a Cat

We all know that exercise if good for us no matter how objectionable it might be. The trick is to find a way of exercising that suits you.
Look at the cat. What an agile and flexible creature it is. It can fun, jump, fall on its feet and catch anything that it wants to. The cat must be doing something right.
Perhaps I could try a few cat tricks to help me get more physical.
What is the main thing that your cat does? Yes, that is right. He sleeps. He lies around in warm, comfortable places and rests his body. I think I could manage to do that. Just think about the benefits to the body. Your muscles are relaxed allowing tension to seep from the body. The body itself is warm so the muscles are always ready to start moving. None of this having to ‘warm up’ before exercise.
What else does your cat do? He stretches and yawns often. Stretching is especially good for muscles. It helps the blood flow to the cells and increases muscle flexibility. It is easier to stretch a muscle that is relaxed rather than tense so a good stretch once you wake up is essential. Always remember to stretch before you get out of bed. You don’t want to cause yourself an injury as you bend to reach your pink fluffies.
Cats get enough exercise walking from their food bowls to litter tray and
back to bed, unless they eat too much. If they start to gain weight the best way to get them moving is by playing games and making them work for their food.
I walk daily on my trek from the couch to the kitchen but sometimes it isn’t enough. I will introduce some little cat games into my life and watch the weight drop off.
Hunt the food could be a good one. “Honey, where did you hide my chocolate? OH! Down there? Well if I have to…..” “Honey, where is my coffee? What? Follow my nose? Damn, that scent is faint…….”
Finally I will copy my cat and the way he uses his body. It takes a lot of work to position yourself seductively across the bed and maintain that pose while your special human enters the room. In my case it could be the cause of a pulled muscle or two but anything is worth it in the quest for the body beautiful.
My campaign begins today. Shove over, Whiskers. We are sharing the bed!

This is such a clever article… great reading!
Love the story. Whenever I feel the need to exercise I will stretch and yawn!!
Thank you for your feedback. It is about as close to exercise as I could legitimately get. I like the idea of being catlike, too. Sleek, slinky, and decidedly rested.
